FORMAT 4- PREMIUM CLASS WOODWORKING MACHINES FROM AUSTRIA

In 1998 combining decades of machine manufacturing experience, the industry brand Format 4 was launched by the Felder Group. In 2001 through the brand Format 4, Felder had achieved their goal of being able to offer high quality, heavy build woodworking machinery for carpentry, business and industry. The intriduction of the Kappa 450 panel saw at the woodworking exhibition in 2001 in Nürnberg was just the start for a remarkable succes story from Austria. The design of the Kappa 450 was as unique as its construction which could be seen in some of key components like the sliding table and saw unit. The Kappa 450 not only won internationally acclaimed awards like the iF-Design Award and the Adolf-Loos Award for Austrian designs but also the trust in which many Format4 customers where willing to make in the machine. Because of this support Felder where able to expand the range of Format 4 machines on offer, and with each new machine an extra step towards a world market leading brand. 

Woodworking machinery, with quality and precision made in Austria, sums up the Format 4 program. Alongside standard machines like panel saws, planer-thicknessers and spindle moulders there is also a complete special machine program with CNC machines, edgebanders and wide belt sanders providing woodworkers, business and industry with the possiblilty of having a complete Format 4 workshop. With the slogan "The complete package" Format 4 customers are provided with not only fantastic machines but also great service. Great advice, individual machine configuration, delivery and commisioning and training make up this package, that Format 4 has specially developed for its customers.
